Century of Service

Through both financial aid and hands-on involvement in local communities, charitable giving has always been a fundamental pillar of Guest Services. As an extension of these values, the Century of Service initiative was created to give all team members time to make a difference in their communities and the resources to help start the process. The program enables us to donate a fully paid work day (8 hours) volunteering at a local charity or nonprofit organization of our team’s choosing.

Last year, we were so inspired by the remarkable work of all the teams that participated we decided to continue the initiative this year. The HR and Training teams helped collect school supplies and assorted gifts for an underprivileged Washington D.C. school. In collaboration with a local nonprofit (The Corps Network), our corporate Marketing Team spent a day refurbishing areas on The National Mall. The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Naples and Weeki Wachee teams made enormous contributions to the Hurricane Irma relief effort and river cleaning in their Florida communities. Boating In Boston and Boating In DC teams played a vital role in maintaining the waters they operate in along the East Coast.

There are more than 1 million public charities in the U.S., countless online resources for finding an organization that fits your passion, and unlimited reasons why you might want to lend a helping hand. We invite you to take part in the philanthropic effort of your choice and hope this initiative gives you the extra boost needed to reach out and help.

We look forward to hearing more inspirational stories from around the nation as the year goes on. Thank you for your service to Guest Services and to your community!
