With an excellent overall rating on Tripadvisor, the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriot Richmond-Ashland knows how to welcome their guests with legendary hospitality.
The pet-friendly property consists of 103 beautiful and spacious rooms – 32 king rooms, 45 queen rooms, and 15 executive king and 11 queen suites featuring an elegant archway leading into the living room with a comfortable pull-out sofa. A fridge, microwave, and coffee maker are available in each room, but guests love the many food options found within the hotel.
“We are one of the few Fairfield Inns that have a bar area within the hotel,” says Dave Johnson, General Manager. “Beer, wine, and appetizers are a huge hit with our guests especially if the weather conditions are bad and guests don’t want to leave.”
In addition to the bar, a market area to buy snacks and drink is available to guests who crave late-night snacks or meals to prepare in their rooms. In the morning, guests enjoy a free hot and fresh breakfast to help start their day.
Alice Liu, a recent guest at the Fairfield Inn, stated in her review that the breakfast had more than just delicious foods. “Gwen, the breakfast server, was busy caring for everyone like a mother: friendly, proactively helpful, and was even making waffles and serving everyone. I’ve never been to a hotel breakfast buffet where there was such service!”
Dave and his team take great pride in serving their guests with the utmost service. In mid-January, the Ashland area had a huge snowstorm. Guests and team members alike were stuck within the hotel, but that didn’t a put damper on the atmosphere inside.
“We had a big group stay, and they were enjoying the various in-hotel amenities to pass the time. Some of my team members, however, had to stay overnight in the hotel due to the road conditions. Even though they were technically off-duty, they made sure the guests were having a great time in spite of the weather,” says Dave.
Fairfield Inn has a state-of-the-art fitness center, conference room, and a perfect indoor pool with four fountains that continuously shoot streams of warm water arcing into the pool.
