It’s National Nutrition Month!

According to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, “No one diet is right for everyone, so it’s important to follow a healthful eating plan that’s packed with tasty foods, and that keeps your unique lifestyle in mind.”

Whether you are on Keto, Whole 30, or Paleo, are a vegan or vegetarian or favor any other current diet regime, the most important component of any diet is to eat real food. Whenever possible, avoid trans fats, processed meats, highly-sugared sodas, and desserts, especially those made with white flour and loads of preservatives. Increase your consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables; healthy oils from olive and avocados; plenty of plant-based proteins like beans, raw seeds, and nuts; and if you eat animal products, choose pasture-raised poultry, beef, and lamb. Look for sustainably-sourced fish too!
