“I feel that long term care is my lifelong calling. What I love most about being in the senior living industry is the knowledge that I make a difference in peoples’ lives every day,” says Executive Director of Vista Gardens, Shannon Hundley.

As Executive Director of Vista Gardens Memory Care Center, Shannon Hundley joins the Company with more than 20 years of experience in the senior care industry. Throughout his initial introductions to the company and the team, he shares a desire to develop and implement a strong programming component to enhance residents’ lives.

“The program would be a group initiative from all departments and families to ensure successful aging in place while keeping the mind, body, and spirit active to achieve the highest level of independence possible for each of our residents.”

As a highly successful multi-site operator, Shannon has worked in the senior living industry since his teenage years. He held many different positions within long term care facilities and learned how to advocate, assist, and develop various programs for senior and assisted living. Through his education and years of experience, he is very seasoned in all aspects of both clinical and operations within our industry and has built a strong reputation within our community.

Shannon attended Wichita State University and earned his bachelor’s degree majoring in Healthcare Administration, graduated with honors in 1998. After completing his degree, he enrolled in a nursing program and has been a licensed nurse since 2001.
