Property Spotlight: The Lodge at Breckenridge

Sitting 14 thousand feet above sea level, spanning three thousand miles from New Mexico through Alberta, Canada, and encompassing the Continental Divide, the Rocky Mountains are as beautiful as they are majestic. Their surrounding scenery attracts an international crowd and leaves visitors in awe. The Rockies in Colorado are also the perfect setting for a lodge to sit at the seat of a mountainous throne.

Located 107 miles west of Denver in the Arapaho National forest, The Lodge at Breckenridge features 45 newly-renovated rooms and million-dollar views of Boreas Pass, Breckenridge Ski Resort and the Tenmile Range. Currently, the area is at the height of the prosperous ski season and The Lodge is welcoming slope-seeking guests from all over the world. The neighboring natural environment provides an abundance of winter activities in addition to the fan-favorite skiing and snowboarding including snowshoeing, hiking, snowmobiling and even dog sledding.

Guests adore the cozy chalet feel of the accommodations and, of course, the gorgeous Rocky Mountain views that greet them every morning. Skiers finish the day with the soothing embrace of the outdoor hot tubs on the back deck situated for full views of the same mountains they find their skiing thrills. If the hot tub doesn’t quite meet their relaxation needs, the Alpine Spa, a new partner of The Lodge located in the side wing of the building, offers many unforgettably tranquil treatments, massages and assorted spa packages. The Lodge’s restaurant, Traverse, is beloved by guests and a local favorite, featuring a new winter menu with delicious additions to their already acclaimed cuisine. Breckenridge is just a short complimentary shuttle ride away and in convenient proximity for nightlife, shop, or other town activity visits.

The Lodge at Breckenridge is always trying to find unique ways to boost their position and stay ahead of competition. They offer many original packages, one of which is an innovative “Sustainable Package” that asks guests to forego particular amenities in an effort to reduce their environmental footprint. Recently, The Lodge executed a photo contest on its social platforms that highlighted one of its widely celebrated attributes: dog-friendliness. Participants were asked to submit festive photos of their dogs for a chance to be crowned “Bark Ambassador” of The Lodge and win a two-night stay. The contest was a great success that resulted in over four hundred Facebook likes, garnered social chatter and has left a lasting positive effect on their social media engagement.

The Breckenridge team has started the year strong and is already being recognized for their efforts. Their service excellence has won Weddingwire.com’s “2018 Couples’ Choice Award” and their front desk supervisor, Whitney, won the local Breck 101 Grand Prize for being most knowledgeable about all the area has to offer. The success of The Lodge has led to the approval by the Summit County Commissioners of plans that are being finalized to expand the compound for more guest as well as staff accommodations. We are eager to continue this success throughout the year and can’t wait to see what else our amazing Breckenridge team accomplishes in 2018.
