Weeki Wachee State Park

Weeki Wachee State Park is known for attracting world-wide adventure travelers seeking an out-of-the-ordinary vacation experience. This unique park features extravagant, yet relaxing paddling (kayaks and standup paddleboards) as well as motorized river boat cruises on the Weeki Wachee River; wildlife animal shows; junior mermaid and junior ranger camps; and, of course, the legendary, highly acclaimed Weeki Wachee mermaids who’ve been delighting guests with their sensational performances since 1947. When Buccaneer Bay comes to life during the summer, Weeki Wachee also becomes a mind-blowing water park and one of the most unique attractions in the state. Fed by a natural spring that distributes over 110 gallons of 72 degree water into the river each day, Buccaneer Bay is fully accessible to all the wildlife that inhabits the river, such as manatees, turtles, fish and otters. Thrill seekers enjoy the four on-site waterslides, while the more laid-back love renting an inner tube for a lazy float on the beautiful, natural Weeki Wachee River that flows conveniently around the swimming area.

Thanks to our in-house Recreation Division, Boating in Florida offers visitors the opportunity to take an epic journey on a kayak or standup paddleboard down the 5.5 mile serene and gin clear river underneath the shade of cypress, oak trees and the classic Florida palms. Similar to Buccaneer Bay, guests who paddle the river enjoy the common company of the West Indian manatees, turtles, otters, storks and pelicans and underwater marine life seen through the crystal clear waters. Our certified instructors take great pride in educating guests about the local flora & fauna, river etiquette, river features, helpful kayaking tips and Weeki Wachee history. New for 2018, Boating In Florida looks forward to offering special night kayak tours so that guests may experience their favorite destination in an enchanting, new ambience.

ESPN aired a commercial featuring the Weeki Wachee Mermaids for the nationally televised
College Football Championship in 2017 that attracted over 25 million viewers.

Guest Services, Inc. is proud to operate the five dining options within the park, the very popular retail stores and the entirety of the boating operations. Our firm began operations as the official concessionaire of Weeki Wachee State Park in December of 2016; since then, we’ve outperformed the previous concessionaire by more than 30 percent in revenue (year over year). We are eager to continue our success in 2018 by maintaining our core values, supporting our staff wholeheartedly, and consistently bringing our guests the best possible experience we can offer.
